Funding Types

Here’s a couple ways we could help

  • Home Care Packages

Home Care Packages (HCP) are the most common source of funding for advanced community aged care in Australia, and the most common funding type we tap into here at Furnas Therapy. We can assess, prescribe, and recommend a wide range of equipment and home modifications via your HCP, working in close partnership with your Package Provider. To start using your HCP to access OT services, we recommend first discussing it with your Package Manager or Liaison as a Brokerage Agreement is required to ensure funding is available.

  • Fee For Service

Fee For Service (FFS) is an option for those wishing to utilise Furnas Therapy services in a private capacity, outside of any formal or government funding scheme. You can get in contact with us regarding our FFS capacity via our webite on the ‘Contact’ page.

  • Short Term Restorative Care

Short Term Restorative Care (STRC) funding is a new kind of funding developed for older Australians to provide short-term, timely, and intensive supports in the home to reduce the likelihood of hospital admission. If you have been provided with an STRC package, or you are a STRC package provider wishing to onboard for OT services, please get in contact via the ‘Contact’ page.

Unfortunately we are unable to assist people under the below funding schemes. Thank you for your understanding.

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

  • Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS)

  • Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
